General

How does CoolGreenPower go to market?

We use a channel sales model. We rely on Partners (i.e., third parties) to market, sell, install, and support COOLNOMIX.

What types of partners does CoolGreenPower have?

We have multiple types of partners: 

Channel Partners: Buy COOLNOMIX at a discount and resell to businesses and government agencies. Channel partners are expected to install COOLNOMIX products themselves earning 100% of COOLNOMIX installation services. COOLNOMIX can only be installed by a certified HVAC technician. Channel partner often bundle COOLNOMIX with other products and services they offer (e.g., preventative maintenance, AC Tune-ups). Channel partners are not permitted to resell to other channel partners. Channel partners are not required to hold stock. 

Referral Agents: Manufacturer’s Reps / Sales Specialists. Compensation is based upon a commission for an individual order.  Manufacturer’s Reps / Sales Specialists are not required to hold stock but will be required to purchase at least 1 demonstration unit.  

Distributors/Wholesaler: Provide services including sales and technical training, marketing, demand generation support, opportunity development support, and quote/order processing.  They buy products at wholesale cost and sell to resellers. They identify and manage resellers/dealers and referral agents in their area.  They can resell and/or install COOLNOMIX if they choose.  Distributors/Wholesalers must hold minimum COOLNOMIX stock. 

Can I become a partner?

Yes, if you are an established U.S. registered business whose focus is the commercial HVAC energy efficiency sector serving the commercial, industrial, or government sectors.

How do I become a partner?

Ideally, you become a partner when you have a customer who wants to purchase COOLNOMIX products through you. We do, sometimes, onboard partners before they have a customer who is ready to purchase.  The steps are:

  1. Sign our MNDA form 

  2. Complete our Partner Interest Form. 

  3. Once approved, you will have access to our Partner Portal using your own unique ID and password. The Partner Portal includes information on how to market, sell, order, install, and support COOLNOMIX.   

  4. Once you are approved, you will list COOLNOMIX products on your website and CoolGreenPower will list you on our website in the “Partner Locator”.

  5. You are now ready to place orders for your customers. 

Is the partner process complicated?

No, the partner process in simple. After initial setup, you can market, sell, and install our products completely by yourself. You do not have to contact us for quotes, invoices, or licenses: it can all be done automatically through our online ordering system. Our approach saves time and helps you deliver products to your customers quickly.

What kind of recognition and support does a partner receive?

Partners are listed in the CoolGreenPower Partner Locator, giving them visibility to any end customers who visit the CoolGreenPower website looking to buy in a specific geography. To avoid channel conflict with our partners, CoolGreenPower refers all leads to our partners. The CoolGreenPower Partner Portal, available 24x365, includes five functional areas: Marketing, Sales, Ordering, Installation, and Operations. For each functional area, we include four key activities: plan, learn, do, and monitor.


Qualified Lead (Deal) Registration

Why should I register a lead?

CoolGreenPower does not offer exclusive territories. Instead, we offer qualified lead protection through deal registration. You can register a qualified lead through our partner portal.

How can I register my qualified leads?

You can register your qualified lead through our partner portal. Your list of your active registered qualified leads will be always available to you and only to you.

How long will a deal registration last?

The default deal registration time duration is 90 days. This can be further extended by request to CoolGreenPower if there is demonstrable progression in the sales process. Qualified leads not converted within 90 days will automatically expire if they are not extended.

Can I re-register an inactive qualified lead?

An inactive qualified lead can be re-registered by request to CoolGreenPower, assuming that lead is not registered to another partner at the time of re-registration.

How does CoolGreenPower address potential channel conflict with our partner?

From time to time, CoolGreenPower receives inquiries directly from end customers. To avoid any channel conflict with our partners, we first check to see if a partner has registered the deal. It is not unusual for certain partner prospects to contact us directly; assuming a qualified lead is registered, we simply refer that contact back to the partner who registered the deal and copy the prospect. That way they know we are communicating.

How will CoolGreenPower provide leads to me?

If CoolGreenPower are contacted directly by a customer, and the lead is not already registered to a partner, CoolGreenPower will provide partners who are in good standing with these leads. In general proximity to end customer location and the experience of the partner will be key decision factors.


Partner Education, Enablement, and Support

Can I start reselling COOLNOMIX products without learning about them?

CoolGreenPower prefers all partner take advantage of available COOLNOMIX training prior to interacting with end customers.

Can I access digital marketing materials, product data sheets, sample ads, and other reusable marketing assets?

Yes, the partner portal has an entire area dedicated to Marketing. Within that area, information is organized into 4 stages: Plan, Learn, Do, and Monitor.

Do you offer support for partner events?

When our partners want to organize their own marketing or sales events (virtual or in person), CoolGreenPower is here to support you. We can participate as a speaker / panelist, we have event planning documents available on the Partner Portal, and more. Co-funding of events is supported on a case-by-case basis.

Can I access sales materials, product decks, and walkthroughs to help make a sale?

Yes, the partner portal has an entire area dedicated to Sales. Within that area, information is organized into 4 stages – Plan, Learn, Do, and Monitor.

Can I personalize marketing and sales collateral?

The partner portal has two version for most collateral: a version with the CoolGreenPower logo and contact information, and a second version with empty space for your company’s logo and contact information.

Can I personalize the COOLNOMIX box or product itself?

Per the Partner Agreement, you are not permitted to remove any box or product labelling. You can, however, add your own label in addition to what is already there. This is especially useful since you want the end customer to know who to call for support, if required.

Can I download COOLNOMIX installation manuals and COOLNOMIX CONNECT software?

Yes, the partner portal has an entire area dedicated to Installation. Within that area, information is organized into 4 stages – Plan, Learn, Do, and Monitor.

If a partner has questions during an installation, what support does CoolGreenPower offer?

Normal support hours are Monday – Friday from 7AM – 7PM ET excluding US national holidays. Contact CoolGreenPower at 617-505-1004. Support can be arranged outside of these hours on request.

If an end-customer or partner is having potential issues with COOLNOMIX during normal operations / post installation, what support does CoolGreenPower offer?

Agreements, Pricing and Sales Transactions

What agreements does a partner need to sign?

CoolGreenPower has a standard MNDA agreement and a standard Partner Agreement. This process of reviewing and signing these agreements can be done 100% online using our e-Signature process. Once signed, your agreement will be email’d to you and also will be available anytime on the Partner Portal.

How does pricing work?

COOLNOMIX has a suggested retail price. For partners who will resell COOLNOMIX, you will purchase COOLNOMIX from CoolGreenPower at prices that are based on volume in a single order. Pricing is included as an Appendix in the Partner agreement.

How do I get a partner quote?

You do not have to. As a partner, you will see your partner price for COOLNOMIX products in the online order / payment system. Your pricing is automatically applied.

How often will COOLNOMIX prices change?

CoolGreenPower normally revises pricing once each year in January. Price changes can be increases or decreases, directly related to changes in purchasing costs, shipping, tariffs, and taxes. CoolGreenPower will notify partners at least 30 days in advance of a pricing revision.

Can COOLNOMIX partners modify the suggested retail pricing?

COOLNOMIX partners can increase the suggested retail pricing by up to $100/unit. COOLNOMIX partners can discount the retail pricing but this will directly impact their margin. A one-time discount may be a good investment for a customer showcase or a scale opportunity.

How do partners place an order?

For Channel Partners and Distributors / Wholesalers, you purchase COOLNOMIX and then resell to your customers. You will place your order online from the Partner Portal. For Partners who are Referral Agents, your customers will place their own orders on the Partner Portal.

How do partners pay?

Partners can choose from multiple payment options, including multiple credit cards, debit cards, and bank checks. Payment is typically 100% at the time of order placement. Net 60 days financing options are available from ResolvePay.

What happens when an order has been successfully submitted including payment?

When a payment has been accepted, you will receive an email with details of the order and the invoice as a PDF file. Delivery is typically scheduled within 24 hours and you will receive a second email with a tracking number and the shipping notice including the serial numbers for all units shipped.

What are my shipping options?

CoolGreenPower has multiple shipping options, including USPS, UPS, and Fedex. You will be offered the most cost-efficient shipping option but if a partner has a preference, CoolGreenPower will use that service provider. You can also choose whether to you want to purchase shipping insurance.

Can I ship to multiple locations?

Yes, within a single order, you can schedule shipment to multiple locations and your shipping costs will be updated accordingly.

Can I lookup previous orders?

Yes, we maintain the most recent 24 months of order history details on the Partner Portal.

Can I have a copy of the signed Partner Agreement?

Yes, your digitally signed Partner Agreement is available on your Partner Portal.


Invoices and Commissions Report

When are partner commissions paid?

For partners who are paid by commission, we pay partner commissions twice each month, on the 15th and on the last day of the month. Partner commissions are paid from the proceeds of their customers’ payments.

How am I paid commissions?

Partner commissions are typically processed via direct deposit, unless the partner prefers a physical check.

Where can I find commission statements?

A digital copy of your commission statement will be available on the Partner Portal.

When can I expect tax documents?

Annual tax documents are available by January 31st each year for the prior year. We typically email a draft version in mid-January for review by the partner before issuing the final version. The final version submitted to the IRS will be available both for digital download as well as a physical copy mailed to your company address.
