Free Energy Efficiency Retrofit Project In New York State for the Small Commercial Sector

We are now recruiting Host Sites (building owners, business owners) and HVAC Contractors to participate in a FREE energy efficiency demonstration

Project Overview

The purpose of this project is to demonstrate a 30% reduction in air conditioning energy consumption and related costs while maintaining occupant comfort. We plan on achieving this by installing a commercial UL-certified product that is retrofit to an existing commercial air conditioning unit.

For building owners and small business owners (host sites), Space cooling is a substantial contributor to annual electricity costs, typically one of the top three business expenses. We seek small commercial host sites in New York State including food & beverage, non-food retail, and offices. To be an eligible host site for this project, your business must receive its electricity from one of these six companies: Con Edison, Central Hudson, National Grid, NYSEG, Orange & Rockland, and RGE.

For HVAC contractors (partners/installers), free training will be provided. Installation and commissioning takes 1-2 hours. All customer equipment and installation services will be paid 100% by the sponsors.

COOLNOMIX is a compressor-controller retrofit device that can be installed on existing direct expansion cooling systems including packaged rooftop unit (RTUs), split systems, and heat pumps.

When installed, COOLNOMIX immediately boosts the energy efficiency of the system by helping the control system to improve temperature stability and use less compressor runtime.
